Smarty Girl Bag

My mom wanted to make the Heather Bailey Smarty Girl bag and so I made one as we made hers.  I, of course, used the Outfoxed fabrics with Anna Maria Horner, because that is all that I can seem to use!!

Meal Planning Board

I have been looking all over Pinterest for a meal planner but couldn't quite find what I wanted.  So, mom and I went to JoAnn and found our own supplies and made a board.  I absolutely love it and hope the board will be useful for us!!

Books and Blocks Bee

I started one last round of Books and Blocks Bee based on the book Modern Blocks. We will take up to 9 more people and make the block/blocks of your choice for your month.  Not too much commitment as you only have to make a block a month.  Consider joining us in the fun!!
You have to request to join through Flickr.  Here is the LINK.  Let's try to get this group up and running for these ladies who would like to join.  Even if you can't make another commitment, consider mentioning this on your blog to get it filled.  Thanks!!

Solistice Star - The Ribbon Star

This block was too much fun. I finished it quickly and wanted to crank out a ton more.  I love these fabrics too.  Find more about the Solistace Stars here!

Yesterday I was too late to get into CityStitches Bee based on blocks from the Modern Blocks book that has 99 blocks made by incredible people. Well, CityStitches graciously offered to lead someone in how to lead a Bee to allow others to participate. I volunteered and there is still room. I am willing to lead up to two groups. I am posting from my IPhone so this will be a fast post. Find the group at Books and Blocks Bee you will find us. There are 8 spots left right now for the first group. Come sign up and buy the book!!

Craftsy BOM

It makes me laugh to say BOM instead of Block of the Month.  I am guessing that means I have a warped sense of humor or may be trapped in the body of a 6th grader.  Here are the two blocks I made from the Craftsy Block of the Month.  It is not too late to join in and a blast to make.  We made a Asterisk and a Wonky block.  I am additcted to the wonky block and may want to make a whole quilt with this fun block.  The materials are a gray Bella solid and Tula Pink Prince Charming.

Come join the fun on craftsy!

Japanese x and + Blocks

I joined a swap awhile back and the swap date is quickly approaching.  I have 2 - almost 3 done.  Now I finally have a rhythm down and will be attempting to complete all the blocks I plan to make and swap.  That is the only problem....how many to make and swap!!

Want to make a block yourself?  Find a tutorial on badskirt Amy's blog!!

My first mini quilt

I have started my first mini quilt.  I am still in the process of quilting and binding the quilt.  This could be my favorite thing I have ever made to this point.  Well, outside of aprons, bags, quilt blocks, etc. :)

You can buy the kit with different fabrics from what I used at a local store here in Dallas.  If you would like one, check out Quilt Asylum's website.

Posts Galore

I have a ton of posts of my latest projects with links on where to find them coming all this week.  I have joined so many projects and quilt alongs that I haven't had time to show you everything.  I will be working today on a ton of posts.  See you soon....

Sew. Happy. Quilt. QAL

This quilt along is a sampler and you will have the quilt top completed by mid-March.

I joined in the fun and my first block turned out great.

The Woven Block

It was easy and fun to make.  The instructions are so very clear and make the block easy for beginners (which I still am with making blocks).  Hope on over to SewHappyGeek and join the Flickr group if you would like to join in!

Burlap Wreath

My sister-in-law posted a photo of a Burlap Wreath that she made from a tutorial on Pinterest. I LOVED the wreath when she posted the photo and secretly was hoping to sneak to her house to steal the wreath.

My SIL's wreath

Luckily for me, I don't have to steal her wreath, because she made me my own. It's a good thing - I don't think I could do well living a life of crime!  I am still figuring out where to put it on display in my house.  Once I do, I will proudly post a photo on here of the wreath hanging in my house!!!

Oh My Stars!!

I joined the Oh My Stars! quilt along after seeing this quilt on pinterest:

The quilt along just started, so there is still time join!!  I decided to use Peacock Lane by Michael Miller with a few other FQs from other lines to round out the full number of FQs I would need:

I have completed the first two Big stars for the quilt - a Basic Sawtooth Star and a Sawtooth with a Pinwheel center:

Forgive the dark photo for the first star - not sure why so dark!!  I still have to make Medium and Small stars to match each Big one.  I should have that completed in a couple weeks. My friend saw the first star and loved the fabric.  She hinted about loving the stars so much - that I took the hint.  I plan to make two of these quilts so I can have one and so can she!
