A Day in the District

Today was an awesome day in Fort Worth. The museums down in the cultural district host an event called A Day in the District each year. All the museums down there open their doors to the city and admission is free. That's right - enter each museum at no cost!!!
I was shocked today to learn while we were at the Kimball Art Museum that we could get in to the Impressionists exhibit FREE!! I was able to see paintings done by Van Gogh, Monet and Renoir - just to name a few.
Van Gogh's "The Bedroom"
We also visited the Cowgirl Museum - which was also holding an exhibit from the Science and History museum while the building gets a face lift and new home - and the Modern Art Museum.

We had such a great time. Being that I am a student and working part time - anything fun and FREE = good times!!!

We rounded the day out by going to our friend's house to watch the TCU/OU football game and watched our Sooners win! Boomer Sooner!! What a great day!!
