Before I can start all the swaps and projects I have to do, I needed a crafters toolbelt to keep everything together as I work. I waste so much time looking for scissors, the seam ripper (every project!!!), etc. Now I am ready. Plus I plan to use this for my Apronista repurposing project because I used all scraps from my favorite materials!! Here is the final product and then I will tell you some of the things I did.
Not to toot my own horn, but I am so proud of myself. I reused scrap fabric, I came up with the idea for tulle instead of Pom Poms (Yuck - sorry to anyone who loves 'em - I don't), and I just feel like my sewing skills are improving with each project. Back to the topic - sorry!!
First I had to cut and sew the pockets together. Then I added each layer of pockets and background - adding tulle in between one of the steps!I added the waste band and straps last. The pattern also calls for a ribbon to hold your pincushion. Mine is blue. If you look at the finished project you will see it. I can't wait to use it on my projects this week!
I used all of my favorite materials and the cherry material I won in the Flirty Apron Swap drawing. I love it so much I want to sleep in it! What do you think? Am I getting better with each project???
Love it!!
ReplyDeleteI definitely need one of those aprons!!
So, happy you are having Fun with the Fabric:D
I need something like this! I spend way too much time wandering and not enough time crafting.
ReplyDeleteI love your fabric choices!
Great job on the apron! I made one kind of like this - you can see my pics and instructions on

If the link doesn't work, go to www.associatedcontent.com and search "crafters apron" and you should get it.
